The Great Race
Into Active NZ specialises in high profile sport and leisure events that offer and attract regional and national sponsors.
The Great Race is an annual rowing regatta with the Waikato University team competing against a renowned international team. It also features races between the national NZ and Australia mens and women’s teams.
The client wanted to capture the action for record and promotional purposes, including innovative profiling of the some of the sponsor’s names. I went out on the water to capture images that evoke the team spirit, power and rhythm of the races with action photos of the boats on the water, dipping oars and straining rowers.
